Internship Opportunities

Each Summer our firm hires several interns (5 during 2007) to assist us with School District audits.  We have found this to be a very mutually beneficial arrangement.  It is a great opportunity for students "to get their feet wet" in the area of governmental auditing.  We are seeking qualified candidates for the 2008 audit season.  Ideally the students that we hire would be between their Junior and Senior years and have had some exposure to auditing and governmental accounting (although this is not required).  Occasionally, we have used younger individuals, but we would encourage younger students to be prepared for information overload.

These internships are paid positions.  Additionally, we will work with your University to provide you with College credit, if that is possible.  These positions are full-time beginning in June and running until late August (we are flexible based on when students are returning to school).  These positions also include a substantial amount of travel.  The schools that we audit are mostly in central Illinois, but we do have several audits that are more than 1 1/2 hours drive from our office.  On those occasions, we provide overnight accommodations and meals.
